Real Estate, Christmas Lights and Hiding Behind the Curtain
When I landed in Phoenix, I helped launch large multi-million dollar residential and commercial development projects in the Phoenix area.
From there I started a successful custom wedding invitation business in 2002 and got my first taste of website design and online business marketing.
When the real estate market crashed in 2006, it affected a lot of industries and I decided to go back to school to learn website design and I got a job at a local multi-million-dollar company that would help me pay for it and where I could learn more business skills.
I helped this company find better suppliers to cut down purchasing costs to increase their revenue by over a million dollars.
Using my graphic skills from my wedding invitation business I helped companies create unified brands that gave them the edge over other small businesses in their industries that were DIYing their look and had everyone creating something a little different every time they put out a proposal or created marketing materials.
I helped a commercial Christmas Light business fix their website after a terrible experience with another website design firm and cut down their online ad marketing costs to $0 by getting their website to page 1 of Google organically.
But the problem was, I was always stuck behind the curtain so to speak working for someone else and wearing so many hats I was never able to catch a breath.
And sadly, I was never able to help those that were truly excited about what they were doing!
